Owner Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber, Chairman of JJW Hotels, who also owns the Grand Hotel Wien, opened “The Ring, Vienna´s Casual Luxury Hotel” at Kaerntner Ring 8, just opposite the Vienna State Opera, in autumn 2007. The property, worth € 30 million Euro follows the trend of smaller, boutique hotels. It combines luxurious ambience with best service in a casual atmosphere.

The restaurant
At Eight at The Ring, Vienna’s casual luxury hotel, has been awarded with two toques by the most important and influential Austrian gourmet guide, Gault Millau. With this award the restaurant under chef Thomas Seifried has earned itself the second toque in only two years.
The restaurant ‘At Eight’ caters for those important, busy business guests, gourmet lovers as well as visitors and guests that would like to try this new gourmet concept. A concept consisting of various components: concentration on one main product that is accompanied by the right side dishes, a large variety of flavour via different spices and sauces, the final touch with the herbs the world offers as well as ethereal oils: a healthy preparation which is called ‘aroma cuisine’.
Enjoy our ‘At Eight’ where pure, fresh and inviting designs do form the exceptional interior, with furniture made of Zeprano wood, fabrics in fresh green colours, completed by a harmonious lighting concept. This bar is definitely unique in Vienna, you may ask why…..take the bar front, covered with installations which show a unique mathematical piece of art……look at the 3 plasma screens behind the bar where the process of figuring of the art is reconstructed.
